I am excited to return to ECS, this time as Principal! From 2011 to 2014, I served as a second-grade teacher here before moving with my family to California. I spent five years as the Director of Curriculum and Instruction at San Ramon Valley Christian Academy in Danville, California—a thriving school with over 400  students and 75 preschoolers. In that role, I supported teachers and students in meaningful ways—leading professional development, mentoring new teachers, guiding the school through accreditation, and helping shape a faith-filled, collaborative culture. Most recently, I served as the Principal at Sun Valley Eagle Christian Academy in Hailey, Idaho, a school I helped launch.

I enjoy building and strengthening academic programs while keeping Christ at the center of everything. I am so grateful to be moving back to Washington with my family —and even more excited to be coming home to ECS!

After graduating college and working in a corporate environment for a few years, the Lord called me into full-time ministry at my local church. I gained a deep appreciation for student ministries and a better understanding of what kids and youth want to know about God and His plan for their lives. I served my church for several years before God opened a door and called me to pursue a new opportunity that combines my passion for educating with my love for Jesus and His mission. I’m excited to step into the role of Dean of Spiritual Life at ECS and to share my love for Jesus with the students and families here!

My wife and I have 3 girls (5, 3, & 1) and a dog named Frank. We enjoy visiting parks, making crafts, swimming at the pool, and working on coloring pages together.

The Eastside has been my home since 1997. I attended Northwest University where I received my B.A. in Organization Communication. Before joining ECS, I worked as an ESL teacher and at a health clinic as a Vocational Specialist. God has led me to this wonderful school and community, and I couldn’t feel more blessed. My daughter is also excited to begin her Christian education here at ECS. I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, martial arts, and taking care of my dogs. I am so grateful that I can witness the love of Jesus here at ECS.

After a career in Software Development with Microsoft and other software companies, I’ve come to Eastside Christian School to serve part-time in Information Technology. I now serve as the school’s IT Coordinator, helping to keep our teachers’ and students’ computers running smoothly and safely every day.

My wife and I live in Issaquah and have a long history with ECS. Our daughter attended the school back in 2003, and today our two granddaughters are students here as well. My wife also works in the Preschool program alongside Anna Choi, continuing our family’s deep connection to this community.

I love my job here at ECS and consider it a blessing to serve in a role where I can glorify God and help raise up students who love Jesus.

After spending 20 years in the corporate world as a retail and HR professional, I made a career change to follow my passion and become a teacher. I began my career teaching Kindergarteners at a private school in Bellevue. While I really enjoyed teaching in Bellevue, I really wanted to teach in a Christian school because I believe our most important mission is to raise Christian children. I’m so glad to finally have this opportunity at ECS!  When I’m not spending time in the classroom, I enjoy taking long walks, attending sporting events (especially my children’s basketball and football games), shopping, and spending time with my 2 children, husband, and Lhasa Apso Sport.

I serve as the Director of Finance here at Eastside Christian School. My connection with ECS began when my two daughters started attending—one in preschool and the other in kindergarten. Both went on to complete their journey here through 8th grade, and during that time, I fell in love with the mission and heart of this school.

I began volunteering in 2004, simply wanting to give back to a community that had already given so much to our family. As only God can orchestrate, that step of service eventually led to a full-time role on staff. I’ve now been serving at ECS for many years, and it’s a true privilege to be part of a place where faith, education, and stewardship come together so meaningfully.

Before joining ECS, I spent over 25 years in executive leadership roles in the grocery, food, and beverage industries. That experience provided a solid foundation in finance and operations—skills I now use to help support and strengthen ECS’s mission.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, hiking the beautiful trails of the Pacific Northwest, fly fishing (or really any kind of fishing), and hanging out with my doggos.

I was blessed to know Christ at a young age through watching the faithful service of my parents to God. I home-schooled my children through their early years and was thankful to find the ECS community this past year.  As my children are all students at ECS, I am also now a student at Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary in pursuit of deeper knowledge of God.  Besides learning His Word, I am excited to live through His Spirit at ECS as a staff member.  It is wonderful to be part of a team of teachers and staff who loves the Lord and His children, and I hope to encourage the next generation of children in their faith in Jesus Christ as I serve alongside them.

I am excited and honored to serve on the ECS team! My love for teaching little ones began in Bellevue more than 25 years ago, and I have served in children’s ministry ever since! I have enjoyed teaching Sunday school, leading VBS, homeschooling my children, serving as a children’s ministry director, teaching preschool and kindergarten, and most recently serving as a preschool director.

I feel blessed to work in a Christian school where I can encourage families of young children in their faith and to trust the Lord in raising their children.  As a mother of three grown children and a teenager, I have always drawn strength from the verse, “Apart from me, you can do nothing,” John 15:5.  When we abide in Him, we bear much fruit.

When I’m not teaching, I enjoy hiking with my husband, Steven, and family (including my chocolate lab), gardening, watching my boys play soccer, drinking coffee, and reading historical fiction.

I was born on Okinawa, Japan, then moved to California for college and to Washington to church plant many years later. Starting a new church with my family is still one of the best faith experiences of my life!  Since I began working at ECS, our family has welcomed three grandkids, two of whom I’ve had the joy of seeing in our preschool.

I love spending time with family and friends, playing games and having late-night conversations around a jigsaw puzzle. I enjoy audiobooks and New York Times puzzles, and I love to watch things grow, like flowers and babies and community!

The best part of my job is meeting wonderful families who deeply love their children and watching new families become a part of the life and community of ECS. My prayer is that God would continue to use ECS to draw families closer to Him and to raise up young people who know, love and serve Jesus.

I was born in Taiwan and moved to Arizona with my husband to start a family and raise our two beautiful children. In 2018 we moved out to the beautiful Pacific Northwest to be with our grandbabies and now the Lord has brought us to Seattle! I thank the Lord for giving me the opportunity to work at an environment surrounded by Christians after retiring from an 18 year long career as an Assistant Branch Manager with Chase Bank. I’m so excited to serve with a group of brothers and sisters who love the Lord.

I’m looking forward to expanding my skills and growing alongside my new ECS family both professionally and spiritually.

I have lived most of my life in the Pacific Northwest (with a two-year stint in Dallas, TX, right after marrying my husband Steve). God blessed us with three (now almost grown) sons whose birth stories are all answers to years of prayer. I relish the moments when I can be a tourist in my own town and neighboring ‘burbs! I am always on the hunt for the next great cup of coffee and am in my happy place whenever I spend time near a lake or our Puget Sound beaches.  I love supporting Eastside families in raising up the next generation to know Jesus, so they can love and serve others with the same heart as his.
