Enjoy this blog post written by our Elementary Music Teacher, Miss Adams, on our upcoming Christmas performances.

Curtains up, ECS…it’s show time!  That is my favorite phrase in the whole world; it always has been and always will be.  The only other one that compares is “God is good all the time, and all the time God is good!”  I love that we can say that here at ECS.  I feel so blessed that every day I get to experience all of my favorite passions in one place:  kids, teaching, and performing! The best bonus is that I get to do all that while sharing Christ and God’s Word with the next generation. For me, instilling character, as well as the ability to perform on and off the stage, could not be a more fulfilling goal and challenge.

Our after-school drama class just finished performing Pinocchio, and I was incredibly proud of what our students accomplished.  I was also amazed by how the Lord used the Scriptures to adapt the play into an even more humbling and teaching-oriented story. It truly was a memorable event. Now we are looking forward to our Christmas Program on December 14th of next week.  As we rehearse, I love watching all the little things come together and seeing the kids own their favorite songs and dance their hearts out. Kindergarten through second grade will perform The First Christmas by Bonnie Baughman Adams at 9 am in the gym, and third through fifth grade will perform The Christmas S.O.C.C.E.R Team by Kathy Hill and Melody Morris at 7 pm.

Be prepared for some great surprises and to be blessed by our awesome Christmas programs. You won’t want to miss the best start to the best season of all! And remember, if you ever enter the chapel with me, be prepared to sing and worship the Lord, because He is good!

 Joyfully,

Miss Adams
