Open Positions for 2026-27

Middle School Worship Team Leader/Drama Teacher

Worship Team Leadership

  • Lead and develop the middle school student worship team elective class for weekly chapels and special events.
  • Mentor and disciple students in musical worship leadership, stage presence, teamwork, and spiritual leadership.
  • Prepare and equip students to lead worship regularly in weekly chapels.
  • Assist students in developing their musical abilities (vocals and instruments).
  • Encourage students to understand worship as both a musical expression and a lifestyle of honoring God.

Sound & Technical Oversight

  • Maintain a working knowledge of the school’s sound equipment and systems.
  • Oversee setup and operation of sound equipment for chapel services in both the chapel space and the gym.
  • Manage setup and tear-down of sound equipment for All School Chapels held in the gym.
  • Ensure sound systems are functioning properly and are ready for use during chapel services and special events.

Drama Instruction

  • Teach middle school drama elective that introduces students to acting, stage presence, storytelling, and performance techniques.
  • Provide opportunities for students to perform 2 middle school drama productions for the school community.
  • Encourage students to discover and develop their God-given artistic talents.
  • Coordinate rehearsals, staging, and production preparation.
  • Collaborate with staff and volunteers to support performances and events.

Faith Integration

  • Integrate biblical truth and Christian values into drama instruction and worship leadership.
  • Encourage students to use their artistic gifts to honor God and serve others.
  • Model Christ-centered character and leadership.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Music, Theater, Performing Arts, Education, or related field preferred.

Salary & Benefits

  • Work structure: 10 hours/week instruction (2 periods/day), plus chapel setups and prep total 15 hours/week

  • Performance expectations: One Sunday/month chapel setup plus two evening drama performances per school year.

Technology Coordinator / Elementary Technology Teacher (Full-Time)

Position Purpose
The Technology Coordinator / Elementary Technology Teacher at Eastside Christian School oversees the operational management of campus technology systems while also teaching technology classes for elementary students (K–5). This role ensures reliable and secure technology infrastructure for the school while equipping students with foundational digital literacy, coding, and responsible technology use skills.

Key Responsibilities

Technology Systems & Infrastructure

  • Maintain and support network, server, cloud systems, and devices across campus.
  • Administer and manage Microsoft 365 systems and user accounts.
  • Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures, including staff awareness training and compliance with technology regulations.
  • Manage device deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting for staff and students.
  • Maintain system documentation and assist leadership with technology planning and budgeting.
  • Support campus safety technology systems and coordinate with the Safety Committee.
  • Manage and support audio/visual systems used in classrooms, chapel, and school events.

Instructional Technology Support

  • Assist teachers with integrating technology into classroom instruction.
  • Provide training and support for instructional technology tools and platforms.
  • Evaluate and recommend educational technology resources and software.

Elementary Technology Instruction

  • Develop and teach age-appropriate technology lessons for K–5 students.
  • Teach computer fundamentals, coding, digital citizenship, multimedia projects, and research skills.
  • Promote safe, ethical, and responsible use of technology and internet resources.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to support technology integration in academic subjects.
  • Maintain and organize classroom technology equipment and learning tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Technology, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience supporting technology systems, networks, or IT operations.
  • Experience teaching or working with elementary-aged students preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft 365 administration, and common educational software.
  • Familiarity with coding platforms such as Scratch or Code.org preferred.
  • Strong classroom management and instructional skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving ability and independent initiative.
  • Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical staff.
  • Alignment with the mission and values of Eastside Christian School.

Salary & Benefits

  • Full-time salary starting at $54,000, based on experience and education.

Middle School Geometry Teacher (Part-Time)

Position Purpose
Teach middle school geometry using engaging and developmentally appropriate instructional practices, fostering conceptual understanding, mathematical reasoning, and real-world application.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver lesson plans that promote critical thinking and problem-solving.
  • Use a variety of instructional strategies, including technology, with the ability to differentiate instruction.
  • Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments and provide timely feedback.
  • Establish a safe, organized, and respectful learning environment.
  • Encourage curiosity, collaboration, and perseverance in problem-solving.

Faith Integration

  • Integrate biblical principles and a Christian worldview into classroom instruction.
  • Model Christ-like character and support the spiritual development of students.
  • Monitor student progress and communicate regularly with parents regarding academic performance and growth.
  • Collaborate with the middle school team to ensure curriculum alignment and program excellence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field required.
  • Teaching credential or certification preferred.
  • Experience teaching mathematics at the middle school level preferred.
  • Strong instructional and classroom management skills.
  • Agrees with and upholds the mission and values of Eastside Christian School.

Salary & Benefits

  • This is a part time, single period role: 8 hours/week; may be combined with another role.
  • Compensation based on years of experience and education, starting at $11,000.
  • Additional benefits in accordance with school policies.

Director of Admissions (Part-Time)

The Director of Admissions leads the school’s student recruitment and enrollment efforts, serving as the primary contact for prospective families. This position manages the admissions process from initial inquiry through enrollment and works closely with school leadership to promote the mission and programs of the school.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for prospective families and guide them through the admissions process.
  • Coordinate school tours, family interviews, student assessments, and guest visits.
  • Manage prospective student inquiries and records using FACTS.
  • Work with the Marketing Manager to support community outreach and enrollment growth.
  • Track enrollment data and prepare reports for school leadership.
  • Help plan and participate in admissions events such as open houses and school fairs.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of ECS’s academic, extra-curricular, and operational practices, policies, and procedures, and strategically plan how best to communicate these practices to the greater community
  • Support international student enrollment and process I-20 applications.
  • Collaborate with the Principal and leadership team on enrollment and retention efforts.
  • Present at biweekly leadership team meetings and board meetings as requested.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience with student information systems (FACTS preferred).
  • Commitment to the mission and values of Christian education.

Salary and Benefits  This is a 32 hours/week position with benefits starting at $55,000.
