Middle School Worship Team Leader / Drama Teacher

Position Purpose
Lead and develop the middle school worship team and drama elective programs, mentoring students in musical worship, performance, and God-centered artistic expression.

Key Responsibilities

Worship Team Leadership

  • Lead and develop the middle school student worship team elective for weekly chapels and special events.
  • Mentor and disciple students in musical worship leadership.
  • Assist students in developing their musical abilities, including vocals and instruments.
  • Encourage students to understand worship as both a musical expression and a lifestyle of honoring God.

Drama Instruction

  • Teach middle school drama elective introducing students to acting, stage presence, storytelling, and performance techniques.
  • Provide opportunities for students to perform in two middle school drama productions for the school community.
  • Encourage students to discover and develop their God-given artistic talents.
  • Coordinate rehearsals, staging, and production preparation.
  • Collaborate with staff and volunteers to support performances and events.

Faith Integration

  • Integrate biblical truth and Christian values into drama instruction and worship leadership.
  • Encourage students to use their artistic gifts to honor God and serve others.
  • Model Christ-centered character and leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Music, Theater, Performing Arts, Education, or related field preferred.
  • Experience leading worship or serving on a worship team.
  • Experience teaching or directing drama/theater productions.
  • Experience working with middle school students preferred.
  • Strong vocal or instrumental leadership abilities.

Technology Coordinator (Part-Time, 25–30 Hours per Week)

Position Purpose
Oversee the operational management of all campus technology systems, including infrastructure, cybersecurity, instructional technology, safety systems, and end-user support, ensuring stable and secure technology services for staff and students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and support network, server, cloud systems, and devices.
  • Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures, staff training, and compliance with regulations.
  • Support campus safety technology systems and coordinate with Safety Committee.
  • Assist teachers with instructional technology integration and training.
  • Manage audio/visual systems for classrooms, chapel, and events.
  • Maintain documentation, provide updates to leadership, and assist in technology budget planning.

Qualifications

  • Strong problem-solving and independent initiative.
  • Expertise in networking, Microsoft 365 administration, and system management.
  • Clear communication with technical and non-technical staff.
  • Alignment with the mission and values of Eastside Christian School.
  • Experience in IT operations and educational technology preferred.

Elementary Technology Teacher

Position Purpose
Develop and implement age-appropriate technology curriculum for K–5 students, supporting digital literacy, coding, multimedia, and responsible technology use.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and teach technology lessons covering computer fundamentals, coding, digital citizenship, multimedia projects, and research skills.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate technology into academic lessons.
  • Teach safe, ethical, and responsible use of technology and internet resources.
  • Maintain, organize, and manage classroom technology resources.
  • Uphold the mission and values of Eastside Christian School in all interactions with students, families, and colleagues.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Technology, or related field.
  • Teaching experience with elementary-aged students, ideally in a technology or computer lab setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, coding platforms (e.g., Scratch, Code.org), and common educational software.
  • Strong classroom management and instructional skills, with ability to differentiate instruction.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Middle School Geometry Teacher

Position Purpose
Teach middle school geometry using engaging and developmentally appropriate instructional practices, fostering conceptual understanding, mathematical reasoning, and real-world application.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver lesson plans that promote critical thinking and problem-solving.
  • Use a variety of instructional strategies, including technology, with the ability to differentiate instruction.
  • Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments and provide timely feedback.
  • Establish a safe, organized, and respectful learning environment.
  • Encourage curiosity, collaboration, and perseverance in problem-solving.

Faith Integration

  • Integrate biblical principles and a Christian worldview into classroom instruction.
  • Model Christ-like character and support the spiritual development of students.
  • Monitor student progress and communicate regularly with parents regarding academic performance and growth.
  • Collaborate with the middle school team to ensure curriculum alignment and program excellence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field required.
  • Teaching credential or certification preferred.
  • Experience teaching mathematics at the middle school level preferred.
  • Strong instructional and classroom management skills.
  • Agrees with and upholds the mission and values of Eastside Christian School.

  • Compensation based on years of experience and education.

  • Current assignment covers one period of geometry; may be combined with another role.
